Premier Technology Apprentices partner with Blackfoot High School Welding Students to Donate Project to American Legion

Blackfoot, ID – The week of November 14 is National Apprenticeship week. Premier Technology, Inc. has partnered with Blackfoot High School to highlight the value of apprenticeships in Idaho.

On November 1st and 2nd, welding students from Blackfoot High School will join welding apprentices from Premier Technology to build a Retired Flag Deposit Box which will be donated to the American Legion in Blackfoot, Idaho on Veterans Day, November 11, 2022.

Premier Technology created their first Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program over 3 years ago in Machining and quickly added a Welder/Fabricator Program. Apprentices learn the trade with a combination of on-the-job-training and formal class time at the College of Eastern Idaho. Training is provided over the course of 4 years, turning apprentices into skilled fabricators. There is no cost to the apprentice. 100% of the fees are paid with a combination of the Idaho Department of Labor program, Idaho Launch, and Premier Technology. This is an excellent way to get professional technical training without incurring the costs usually associated with attending a technical college program. Visit www.ptius.net/careers or contact the Human Resources Department for more information about our Apprenticeship Program.
